Bay Fishing
Usually chartered in 23 foot bay boat with four Anglers and a guide. Guide supplies everything except food and drinks. Most guides obey the fishing regulations and prefer to catch and release. Journeys of SGI does Bay fishing trips that leave from the island and give you a chance to catch sheapshead, speckled trout, flounder, whiting, red fish, shark and triple tail. Our captains clean their catch and bag it for you. Anglers can choose five hour day or eight hour day of fishing. Flats Fishing
Two anglers and a guide that Site fish in very shallow water. Guide poles and spots fish while you fish with an option fly rod and light tackle. Usually catch and realease. Come book a flats fishing trip with Journeys of SGI and see what a thrill it is to catch a tarpon!!

Our fishing trips are centered on family and fun. We love catching fish, but we encourage catch and release. Our guides do clean fish but expect a tip. Keep some for dinner and set the rest free.  Our Captains love to put you on fish and teach you how to pull them in.  Great for kids and beginning anglers.

Your captain is a certified captain and licensed fishing guide. Your guide will fish all the hot spots in Apalachicola Bay, the mouths of the river and the Gulf to put you on some of the best fishing in Florida. Typical catches are speckled trout, redfish, flounder, pompano, triple-tail and mackerel. Licenses, bait, tackle, water, cleaning and packing fish are all included in the trip price.

Your captain and fishing guide will run into the Gulf of Mexico between 12 and 40 miles out to various reefs where the fishing is wonderful. He will put you on grouper, snapper, cobia, amberjack, mackerel and shark. Anglers will love to fight the "big one" and enjoy the experience of a lifetime. This trip is recommended for kids 10 years or older and persons not pron to sea sickness.

Your experienced licensed captain and fishing guide will take you and your fishing partner to the "flats". These are shallow areas in our bay where most bay boats cannot fish because their boats are a deeper draft. Many redfish, tarpon and trout will tail and search for bait in these shoals. Your captain will stand on a platform with a long fiberglass pole and call to you to cast in a certain area to catch "the big one".

Kids must be 8-15 years old. This is a catch and release trip. Captains will teach kids to bait, hook and catch shark, catfish, flounder, ladyfish and mackerel. This is a great beginning fishing trip for "kids only"; they meet fellow anglers and have a blast on the water while you do other adult activities. (bait, tackle, rods, reels, drinks and snacks provided)

4 hours of fun shark fishing in the Bay and Gulf with your competent fishing guide. Guide will put you on small sharks and you will catch, take pictures, and release these endangered predators. Fun for the entire family with great bragging rights(bait, tackle, rods, reels and water provided)

Families will enjoy this wonderful tour and you will come home with a bounty of seafood to cook up for the delight of family and friends. Our certified fishing captain will help you tong a bushel of oysters, pull in blue crab traps and throw cast nets to catch the delectable mullet. Recipes will be provided and your children will learn that this delicious seafood comes from a clean and protected estuary instead of just a supermarket. (includes all equipment and drinks)
